This is a special practice presentation. Arem offers a meditation practice he developed from practice with Sufi heart and breath meditations. The Sufi way, like Cosmic Christ mysticism, focuses on the Divine Presence in the body of this world. We learn to transcend in meditation, to meditate downwardly; that is, channel energy from the Divine Union back into the body and out into the world. To warm Your Heart
with Devotional Feelings of Love
The Feeling of Love-Warmth
arising from the Center of Being
but mediated through
your heart, mind, and body
Go into restful Meditation
Just Be
Breathe naturally
Gradually relax
Do not rush this
Let this happen
at its own pace
When relaxed
place together your ring finger and thumb ...
if possible, let the sensation
of breathing be in and out of
the area of the physical heart
Place the joined thumb and finger
to the area of your heart
With each heartbeat
inwardly speak a name or title of the Divine
or a name or title of your Teacher ...
Do this as long as you wish
and feel the shift in the Heart-Energy
Then, let go and rest in Silence
Rest in this Feeling
When the Feeling dissipates
return briefly to feeling the heartbeat
to reengage the Heart-Warmth
